Video Game Music Lives On @ OverClocked Remix

I still remember when I first found out about this site. It was insane. OverClocked Remix has to be the largest video game remix community on the Internet. Almost every single game from your past has been digitized and modernized for your vgm pleasure. The best part is that the majority of the video game remixes featured are from older games from the 80s and 90s.

What I really like about the selection being geared toward older systems like NES, Genesis, and SNES is that you can really hear a major difference in how vgm used to sound and how it would sound be it were remade today. I am sure that you have all heard the SSBB remixes on YouTube already and OCRemix does the same thing. OCRemix takes all of your favorite video game tunes and upgrades them to the 21st century. Some of my favorite vgm remixes on this site are from Final Fantasy and Megaman. Just let show you the kind of remixes are available at OCRemix. Since Megaman is mega awesome I am taking Metal Man’s theme from MM II to show you as an example. Metal Man is my favorite robot master from Mega Man. Best weapon ever, best theme song ever, and coolest looking robot master ever.

Dr.Wily must have thought that Metal Man would be undefeatable cause he’s caring his own weakness & there’s no way someone can use it against him cause He’s the only one with it… Until Mega Man came & defeated him. Although the “Leaf Shield” which you get from Wood Man allows you to survive the waves of the small birds which fly out from a big egg which a bigger bird drops, unharmed. This is really useful during Crash Man’s stage where you’ll have to climb long ladders and those annoying birds keep flying at you.

[..YouTube..] If you’re playing on difficult mode, I would NOT recommend doing metalman’s stage for the first time. I’ve tried it, and he’s a pain to defeat using only the megabuster.Here’s what worked for me: Flashman -> Quickman -> Metalman -> Bubbleman -> Heatman -> Woodman ->. Airman -> CrashmanDon’t forget that once you choose the difficult mode, bosses require twice as much hits to kill, which means the game strategy dramatically changes.And this is why MM2 is one of the best in the series.

[..YouTube..] Megaman 2 is the easiest in my opinion. Well, I can’t say that yet, I only own 4 of the 6 megaman games so far. I Megaman 1 was easy to me. Megaman 2 was insanely easy, But that is not a bad thing. Megaman 3 had a good balance. And Megaman 6 Was difficult. Do doubt about it. Not quite as hard as 1 though.
