This is probably one of the most famous songs from Super Mario RPG, Mario’s first RPG game. This game was on the Super Nintendo and featured 3D-like graphics similar to Donkey Kong Country. Since fully rendered 3D were not achieved until the N64, many call Mario RPG and DKC only 2.5D. Due to the graphical limitation of the SNES, 3D was not completely possible until the next generation of consoles. This when Geno joins and I must say that Geno is one of the best characters in the game. Geno defintely earns a permanent spot in the party along with Princess Toadstool and of course Mario who is there by default.

I have always seen Geno as a replacement for the other characters. Mallow is too weak physically and has no good attack skills. Geno’s Flash attack can destroy an entire army of enemies in one fell swoop. I have never seen Mallow’s star rain do that. What good is Mallow, the cloud/tadpole for? Same thing with Bowser. Geno’s physical strength is on par with Bowser but Bowser lacks decent skills. Bowser Crush? What is this? This skill does not come even close to Geno Flash. Not to mention Geno has that 9999 damage trick with Whirl. Geno is king and deserves to be in your party until the end.

[..YouTube..] This game is a stepping stone for Nintendo. Final fantasy 7 was supposed to be put on aNintendo console, but squareenix left and made it on the playstation. Super mario rpg is the last game SquareEnix ever made with nintendo. That’s why the soundtrack sounds alot like final fantasy.
