Constant Limit

Checking back at Newgrounds, I remember this playing this really good shooter game:

Super Biology Adventure is a very unique shooter in that you can inhale weakened enemies to build up your power. There are three different levels of power and once you reach the third level, you can unleash a laser thats similar to the power shot in R-Type. If you constantly release your devastating level three laser, your ship will power up. If you power up enough, your ship will grow at the start of the next level and your level three blasts will last longer and do more damage.

Even with your charged laser, you still need to use your normal shots. These normal shots are used to weaken enemies to the point where they can be inhaled. This reminded me a lot like Kirby where he can inhale the enemies for special powers/weapons. You should not rely on your normal shots to destroy enemies since they are too weak. Just use them to build up your laser meter.

Inhaling Enemies

Use your normal shots to weaken the enemy, they will shrink and glow as they lose their strength. Once they start to glow, stop shooting them with your normal shots and inhale them to increase your meter.

Level Three Laser Beam

When you first start out, this is what your level three laser beam looks like this:

It is very strong and should be used to clear a path of lesser enemies or heavily damage stronger ones.

Tip: Powering up your Ship

When you encounter these enemies, you must defeat them before you can continue. If you leave these enemies on the screen, the stage will stop until they are destroyed. This means that you can take the time to power up your ship. Inhale their shots as shown in the screenshot and be careful not to hit them with your laser. You can continue to inhale their shots to charge your meter as long as they are still alive.
